Born and raised in Nebraska, Megan has always been an animal lover. Her first experience with veterinary medicine was while she was in 4-H showing sheep, where she had to help care for a sick lamb on her family's farm. Megan showed everything she could in 4-H including horses, sheep, goats, dogs, and even a cat. Her motto was, if you grow it, you show it. Megan owes her passion for veterinary medicine to her Golden Retriever, Beau, for without him, she may have never discovered her dream. Megan also boasts the title of Miss Nebraska, having competed in many pageants growing up.
When Megan isn't working in the clinic, she is back working on the family farm. She comes from a long line of hard-working farmers and auctioneers. She helps her parents run their family business called Lee Valley, a real estate and farm machinery auction company.
Megan graduated from Northeast Community College in Nebraska, where she received her veterinary technician degree. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, pageants, reading, and spending time with her new puppy.
